Developing a modern naïve interpretation of country, the works are playful and fun. The colour and composition of the works will surely put a smile on your face as they are strikingly different from that of other indigenous painting within the naïve realm. A much broader and thoughtful process is employed when choosing the colour spectrum. A combination of fine abstract dotting mixed with figurative elements depicting each artist’s own particular country or place they have custodianship over. Apmer (country) and all the different bush medicines and bush tucker are also reflected within each painting.
Many people who visit the gallery adore the works or describe them as a style they have never before experienced within the aboriginal art world making them stand out from the automated mass produced style commonly found within commercial galleries.
