Judy Watson
Judy was born in the Mina Mina area of Warlpiri country, south west of Yuendumu. She is custodian of the Napangardi and Napanangka Mina Mina dreaming stories which she was passed by her sister and co-wife, Maggie Watson Napangardi. Judy paints various renditions of the travels and ceremonies associated with the travels of these women from Mina Mina to Willowra, north of Yuendumu.
OFA gallery & studio located on the northern beaches of Manly in Sydney, will host a permanent display of key and major aboriginal artist combined with a cultural program that strongly supports and promotes the work of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists through exhibitions, education and events for the wider public to join in, understand and enjoy contemporary art in all its forms.
